I just saw a billboard in the State of Ohio that said "I miss you saying 'Merry Christmas'. Jesus Christ. Time to push the "progressives" back behind our beliefs. Tell the next person you see, "Merry Christmas". Happy Holidays no longer does the trick. This is God's country.

Unless you know someone is a Christian, it is inappropriate to say, "Merry Christmas". Perhaps you live in a region where everyone is the same? Where I live there are tons of Jews and many other religions that are celebrated during this time. "Progressives" aren't out to destroy Christianity. We just want to acknowledge everyone's beliefs. Ergo, "Happy Holiday" covers it.
Interestingly, I was told "Happy Hannakah" last night and I'm not Jewish. See? Happy Holidays would have been better.
Since I know you are a Christian, I hope you have a very joyous one.
I posted your comment to be fair to you even though we disagree. We celebrate Christmas as the "Birth of Christ" and we do not require that all peoples do the same, however, regardless of your particular beliefs, your only pathway to heaven is through Jesus Christ, whether or not you choose to believe. I do certainly hope your holiday is a happy one but my choice of greetings is "Merry Christmas" as I wish to give praise to the reason we celebrate this particular season. You do not have to agree with me to find your eternity, however you may not be happy with the eternity you find, if you deny the Christ Child. Greet people as you feel lead and I will do the same. My promise to the Savior of the world is to share His love. I might suggest to you that you take the time to read the Bible, progressive or not, it is the REAL TRUTH. God bless you and Merry Christmas. If you choose not to come back to my site, that is between you and God, just as your eternity is.
