People Need The Lord

I have a secret. Every night when I go to bed, I have this little iPod laying next to my bed with wireless headphones that I put on and the first thing I do is listen to the song below. It helps remind me of why I exist. I know I have a family and friends, things to do and places to go, but I have a much greater task in this world that not everyone completely understands. The words to the song listed below are from the song "People Need The Lord" by Steve Green. It is an older song and one that I can still recognize the words to but it is one of the most powerful songs and messages I have ever heard. People need the Lord and we have been given that task. In Matthew 28, Jesus tells (no He commands) us to "...go and make disciples in all the nations...". Basically He says. "tell them about me...and DON'T EVER FORGET that I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (paraphrased).This song does an excellent job of sharing that task and I wanted to share it with you.

I also have books of the bible on my iPod that I listen to. Funny how I wake up sometimes in the middle of the night having fallen asleep with headphones "pouring the Word of God" into my brain. What a magnificant narcotic.
